The dreaded "before" picture.
Words can not even begin to describe my horror when I look at this. I don't think I have ever posted such a brutally honest picture of myself on the internet. And now, here it is, for the whole world to see on a public blog. But at least it is a frame of reference for those who don't know me in person.
You can really see how disproportionate I am due to the "apple" shaped body (caused by the PCOS). My upper body is HUGE compared to my lower body - I mean, my legs look positively tiny. One of the goals with my weight loss is for my body to be more proportionate. I would be a lot more content with my appearance if I had the curves a lot of heavy girls have, but I just don't.
I am going to post a new picture with every ten pounds that I lose. I am excited to see the change over time!
If you want me to when you get a bunch of pictures I'll make you an animated gif of your weight loss. :-)
ReplyDeleteKeep at it though, it's a tough road but it will be worth it in the end.
You'll do awesome Lacy!!! You always do! Erin and I are pulling for you.
ReplyDeleteBen - that would be so effin' cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks Robert - I really appreciate it! :) You guys are the best.
I've been too scared to post a picture of myself... but I think you have inspired me that its okay. I really think posting stuff like this on the internet helps to keep you accountable.
ReplyDeleteAmy, you are gorgeous and always have been! :P
ReplyDeleteDitto what Z said. We love you!
ReplyDeleteI read a friend's blog recently in which she took "before" and "after" measurements in addition to photos. She said that this, more than anything else, has been her greatest motivator. Something about seeing all those disappearing inches helped to reaffirm what an awesome job she's done. It seemed like a good idea to me, so I thought I'd run it by you. :D
Just so you know, I read and cheer you on every day!

ReplyDeleteKeeping track of measurements is a great idea. I have always shied away from it because my proportions are so weird, but I really should. Any way that I can keep track of progress is good!
